It's amazing to shoot a wedding for someone you care a lot about. This was the case for me shooting Chelsea Ambort's wedding. I have known Chelsea since she and my son were babies together. I will never be able to get closer to shooting my own child's wedding.

I shot the most beautiful wedding with absolutely wonderful people.

Kaylie and Forrest are so in love and have such a caring family and group of friends. I'm so honored to have ben chosen as their photographer. It was an amazing day to be a part of.

But I have to say, the best part for me was that I got to work with my beautiful and talented daughter Taylor as my second shooter. She came up with the shot at sunset. Go Tay!

The second wedding is the wedding of my great friend Victoria's daughter Chelsea. This wedding will be as close as I will ever come to photographing my own child's wedding. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am.

I can't wait for two weddings I have coming up this next month. The first one is with the most adorable couple Kaylie and Forrest. They have known each other since they were in 6th grade. How sweet is that. Not only are they sweet with very fun sense of humor but they are so gorgeous together... Well, you be the judge.

I was thinking today about how I describe the people I meet and get to photograph. Sometimes I feel like I sound disingenuous by saying how nice they are or how much fun I had, but it's all true. I think that I am just very lucky and very blessed to have so many wonderful people enter my life.

That being said. I took some beautiful images of a beautiful couple. Paul and Cybil are both massage therapists here in Santa Barbara and Cybil is also a dancer with a local dance company. I can't express here how happy I am to be able to say they are friends of mine. They are both filled with such light and happiness, it's was just great fun being around them at their beautiful home.

Went for a fun trip to Chicago, well the Hotel and airport near Chicago. I had so much fun. Being born and raised in Calif. I have had very limited experience with snow. So my time was spent taking pictures and walking around in a winter wonderland.

This is the coolest thing. It's a radio station that you make to fit what you like to listen to. First of all... IT'S FREE!! Go to www.pandora.com and put in a favorite artist. The radio station will then give you the music of that artist AND other artists that are similar. You can say you like or don't like the new artists y giving them a thumbs up or thumbs down. Thumbs down will take that song off your cue. You can just listen all day long while editing your weddings this season. Oh and if you give them your email they will remember the stations you have made. Have fun!

It's my Birthday!!!

I went to Disneyland with my two sons and my sister. Later in the day my oldest daughter, her boyfriend and three more friends met up with us. We had such a great time. Completely stress free, even got a little geocaching done. Usually when I go to Dland (which is at least 3 times a year) I feel burnt out but we had so much fun and Jan 10th is always empty, I'm ready to go again! Come celebrate with me next year!

Beth McDonald at KEYT

I got to do some fun photos of Beth McDonald, astrologer, at KEYT. She gave predictions for the election (Edwards) and talked about how one gets information based on planets etc. It was so fun to hear what she had to say, plus she's just a fun person to be around. I had the priviledge to shoot a beautiful wedding at UCSB the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I know I say this a lot but this was such a touching wedding. The videographer and I both had to wipe away tears so that we could get clear pictures.

Kristin and Randy put together a wedding that included both of their families. Kristin father and Randy's father jointly performed the ceremony with readings by the siblings. The sweet highlight for me was when Kristin's little son, Hunter, gave her away with a "me too!"

Congratulations Kristin, Randy and Hunter. I so enjoyed playing with you all for the weekend and hopefully we'll meet again soon.

I love the look on a groom's face when he sees his bride for the first time!

This was such a beautiful, funny and moving wedding. Alana and Skippy have the most amazing family and friends. With the toasts, vows and choices of music, I don't think I have choked back so many tears and laughed so hard. Thank you so much for allowing me to document your wonderful day.

Jessica's Batmitzvah!

So I'm a little late in posting about all the wonderfull events I have been able to be a part of this summer, but it's just been so busy.

I wanted to start with the Batmitzvah of Jessica. Not only was Jessica's service moving and beautiful but her party was ..... WOW! Jessica was a vision in her gowns, gracious greeting her guests and if that wasn't enough she entertained us all with a dance performance that was amazing. Thank you all so much for allowing me to be apart of such a fabulous day.

The movie and dance themed reception had you walking the red carpet as you came in.

One of the things I love about being a wedding photographer is getting to know people. With Stephanie and Tony I feel like I spent the day with my new best friends. Hanging out with Stephanie and her daughter Summer felt so effortless and fun, what I job I have. It was easy to capture Stephanie's excitement and beauty as she got ready to see Tony. Congratulations you two and thank you so much for including me in the fun!!!

I have been told by so many people to get a blog. Since I'm trying to clear out all the things I have been "planning" or "needing" to do, I decided that I should just do it!
